Visual literacy is a crucial skill that requires learners to comprehend complex imagery and understand messaging in media other than text: artwork, photographs, illustrations, graphics, and other non-text messaging. Session will approach methods for supporting students’ consumption, composition, and even critique of the visual media they face daily, both in school and in their personal lives outside of school.
